8-19-20 another covid-19 death in fdl county

The number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise and another coronavirus death has been reported in Fond du Lac County.  Twenty one new cases were reported Tuesday bringing the total number of cases in the county to 816.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the county has hired several contact tracers to help with contact tracing as the number of cases continue to rise.   There are 208 active cases, 13 people […]

8-19-20 thompson wants boost for uw in state budget

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Interim University of Wisconsin System President Tommy Thompson wants the governor to give the system a nearly $100 million boost in the next state budget. A new Marquette Law School poll shows most Wisconsin residents plan to vote in person in the November election.   The Marquette Law School poll shows 46 percent plan to vote at the polls, while 35 percent say they plan to vote absentee by mail.   The poll found that Joe Biden led Donald Trump 81-percent to 14-percent among people who said they were going to vote by absentee ballot, while 67 percent of people who said […]
