MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An oversight board has demoted Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales after questioning how he handled multiple incidents, including ordering officers to fire tear gas and pepper spray at protesters demonstrating over George Floyd’s death. 8-10-20 fdl county records 7th covid-19 death

Fond du Lac County has recorded it's seventh death due to COVID-19.  Fond du Lac County  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says 16 new cases were reported Friday bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 629. 8-10-20 envision greater fdl safety awards

Envision Greater Fond du Lac's Safety Council recognized four local companies for outstanding safety performance. CD Smith Construction and WW Electric Motors received silver level performance awards, while Moraine Park Technical College and Wells Vehicle Electronics earned gold level awards.  Winners were selected based on their recordable incident reports from 2019. Gold and Silver award levels are determined by the degree to which a company exceeds the average safety recordables of others in their industry.

8-7-20 sandbar bash in winnebago county raises concerns

Area health officials are reacting with concern after a large gathering was held in Winnebago County last weekend.   Images of a large crowd, without masks, drinking and wading in shallow water on Lake Butte des Morts began circulating on social media.   The Sandbar Bash was held Saturday on the lake.   The Winnebago County Health Department encouraged anyone who attended the event  to monitor for symptoms.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says […]
