8-6-20 evers mobilizes national guard for august primary election

Gov. Tony Evers announced today that the Wisconsin National Guard will assist local election officials as poll workers for the August 11, 2020, primary elections across Wisconsin. The announcement comes as last week the governor issued Executive Order #82 authorizing the Wisconsin National Guard to provide support during the August election. 8-6-20 new report shows fdl county has higher poverty rate than statewide average

A new report shows Fond du Lac County has a higher poverty rate than the statewide average.   The 2020 ALICE report shows 38 percent of Fond du Lac County residents live in poverty, compared to 34 percent statewide.  ALICE stands for  Asset, Limited, Income, Constrained, Employed.   Fond du Lac Area United Way director Amber Kilawee says that’s based on 2018 data.  The city of Fond du Lac’s poverty rate is 42 percent.   Ripon […]
