8-5-20 fdl drive-by shooting

Nobody was injured in a drive-by shooting in Fond du Lac last night.  Police were called to a report of multiple gunshots fired in the area of West 12th Street between Morris and Linden Streets.  Bullets struck the side of a house.  Witnesses reported a white-colored sedan leaving the area following the shooting.  Police are continuing their investigation.

8-5-20 beaver dam woman convicted in fatal alcohol-related crash

A Beaver Dam woman has been convicted in connection with a fatal alcohol related crash In Beaver Dam.   Twenty four year old Cindy Esparza was found guilty of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.   According to a criminal complaint Esparza was drunk when she drove off a bridge on April 2, 2019.  Several Beaver Dam Police officers jumped into the near freezing water to rescue Esparza who was trapped in the vehicle.  A passenger […]

The American Red Cross Wisconsin Chapter says a spike in COVID-19 cases has led to an emergency plasma shortage.   Red Cross spokeswoman Laura McGuire says convalescent plasma is a potentially lifesaving treatment for COVID-19 patients.  McGuire tells WFDL news convalescent plasma is going out the door quicker than it is coming in.  Convalescent plasma is plasma collected from patients who have recovered from an infection and have antibodies that might help […]
