8-26-20 another covid death in fdl county

Fond du Lac County is closing in on a thousand COVID-19 cases with 19 new cases reported Tuesday for a total of 993 positive cases.  There was also one new death bringing to ten the number of Fond du Lac County residents who have died from COVID-19.

8-26-20 one person seriously injured in three vehicle crash on i-41 south of fdl

Two people were transported to the hospital, one with serious injuries, following a three vehicle crash on Interstate 41 south of Fond du Lac.  The crash, involving a semi and two cars,  happened shortly before 10am Tuesday on southbound 41  near County Highway D.   One person was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries.  Another person was transported to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries.

8-25-20 fdl school board moves all fall sports to spring

8-25-20 fdl county slips back into phase one of safer reopening plan

8-25-20 fdl county community health survey

The Fond du Lac County Health Department is tracking the health of Fond  du Lac County residents.   Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says a community health survey is being mailed randomly to 2,000 county households between now and September.   Mueller says the confidential survey focuses on issues such as health care access,  physical activity, nutrition, food security, tobacco and alcohol use, mental health and chronic disesase.  […]

8-25-20 work in fdl roundabout nearing completion

Construction work is nearing completion on what will be one of the bigger roundabouts in the city of Fond du Lac.   The roundabout on Fond du Lac Avenue near Rienzi Road is expected to be completed by the end of next month.    Fond du Lac County Highway commissioner Tom Janke says the road  improvements in that area, including the roundabout, will improve safety and traffic flow.

8-25-20 dane county sheriff’s deputy dies from covid-19

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A deputy with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office who is believed to have contracted the coronavirus while on duty has died. Sheriff David Mahoney said in a statement that Richard “Rick” Treadwell is believed to be Wisconsin’s first law enforcement officer to die from the virus after contracting it while on duty.
