9-15-20 fdl area united way kicks off fundraising campaign

The Fond du Lac Area United Way kicks off the 2020 fundraising campaign this week.   Executive director Amber Kilawee says during the coronavirus pandemic much of this year’s campaign will be done virtually.  Kilawee says during the pandemic the need for member agencies is greater than ever.  Kilawee says since the start of the pandemic in March the United Way’s 2-1-1 information referral hotline has been flooded with calls.  “Since March over 50,000 calls have come in for basic need assistance,”  Kilawee told WFDL news.
