The interim Fond du Lac school superintendent says she is pleased with the way the district has handled positive COVID-19 cases involving students and staff. The school district has been operating under a blended model since the start of the school year with students in class for a couple days a week and online learning the other days. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says when students are in school, the District’s social distancing and masking policies have made a difference. Responding to reports that some parents in Washington and Ozaukee county have been knowingly sending their sick children to school, Simon says there have been no reports of that happening here. Simon says Fond du Lac School District parents have been taking the situation “seriously.”
