The state Department of Justice says all four victims of a shooting at a Mayville assisted living facility are expected to recover from their injuries.  The incident happened Wednesday night outside the Spring Glen Apartments.  According to investigators two women and a man were in a parking lot when a 72 year old man approached and the group argued.  The man shot the three individuals and then shot himself.  All four were residents of […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson said Thursday he’s been placed in quarantine after being exposed to someone who tested positive for the coronavirus. 9-17-20 mayville shooting incident

Four people were flown by helicopter to area hospitals following a shooting incident in Mayville.  The incident happened shortly before 7:30-pm Wednesday near the 1100 block of  Horicon Street in Mayville.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says when paramedics arrived they performed life saving measures on four patients.  All four people were flown to hospitals.   The Sheriff’s Office says there  is no threat to the public due to all involved  individuals being accounted for.

9-17-20 big jump in covid-19 cases in fdl county

One of the biggest one day totals in positive COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County since the start of the pandemic  has pushed the total number of cases over 1500.   Fifty two new cases were reported Wednesday bringing the total number of  cases to 1,542.    There are 516 active cases and 14 people are hospitalized.

9-17-20 marshfield medical center beaver dam issues new restrictions

9-17-20 wi national guard battling wildfires out west

A Wisconsin National Guard major says it’s heartbreaking to see footage from the wildfires raging across western states.  Last Friday the Wisconsin National Guard dispatched two Black Hawk helicopters and 15 solidiers to assist with firefighting efforts in California.  National Guard major Joe Trovato says the crews are flying fire suppression operations, dumping large water buckets on the fires.  Trovato says the Guard regularly trains for fire suppression and many other […]
