9-16-20 state patrol releases names of crash victims

The State Patrol has released the names of the victims of a fatal crash  Tuesday morning involving a Fond du Lac ambulance.  The State Patrol says 21 year old Jonathan Bruemmer of Fond du Lac was killed in the crash.  He was a passenger in a car driven by 28 year old David Worley of Theresa.  Worley received life-threatening injuries.  An initial investigation shows Worley ran a red light striking the ambulance at the […]

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago officials are cautioning city residents about travel to Wisconsin, citing a recent COVID-19 spike in Illinois' neighbor to the north. 9-16-20 fdl county clerk pleased with state supreme court ruling

The Fond du Lac County Clerk says she is pleased with a state Supreme Court ruling this week rejecting a Green Party request for access to the November ballot.  Lisa Freiberg says following the ruling she will start mailing out absentee ballots this week.  Freiberg says she can’t stress enough that  people need to get that ballot voted and  returned to their  municipal clerk in a timely manner.

MADISON – Gov. Tony Evers granted pardons this week to nine individuals. The Governor’s Pardon Advisory Board heard from applicants virtually on August 18, 2020. Applicants who the Board recommended for pardon were forwarded to Gov. Evers for final consideration. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Natural Resources is warning people to avoid eating livers of deer killed around Marinette to avoid being exposed to PFAS chemicals.
