9-15-20 gas leak forces evacuation at mptc

The east wing at Fond du Lac’s Moraine Park  Technical College was evacuated Monday following a natural gas leak.   Classes in the east wing were canceled for the day. Classes outside of the E wing are continuing as scheduled.  Fond du Lac Fire crews and contractors were working to repair the leak.

9-14-20 atv injury crash-dodge county

A Dodge County man received what were described as potentially life-threatening injuries in an ATV crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened Saturday evening on Ridge Road near Jackson Road about a mile and half southwest of Beaver Dam.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the ATV was southbound on Ridge Road when the operator, a 49 year old town of Calamus man,  lost control, overturned, and he was ejected.  He was not wearing a […]

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says the westbound lane of traffic on Division Street between Main Street and Portland Avenue will be closed Monday, September 14th. The closure will be in place to allow a crane to place equipment on the rooftop at 1 N Main Street.

9-14-20 suspect captured in fdl after foot chase

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin National Guard has sent a pair of Black Hawk helicopters and about 15 troops to California to help fight wildfires ravaging that state. Guard officials said the helicopters departed for California on Friday morning. They said state officials in California requested the assistance under an Emergency Management Assistance Compact request. The compact allows for state-to-state assistance during emergencies. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Catholic dioceses across the state are lifting the Sunday dispensation which means parishioners are once again obligated to attend Mass. Catholic churches lifted the obligation and stopped holding in-person Mass when coronavirus cases started growing in mid-March.
