9-24-20 fdl council holds off on binding agreement

9-24-20 fdl men charged in federal firearms case

Four Fond du Lac men are accused of recruiting a heroin user to buy guns.  The United States Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Wisconsin says the men  Jonathan Griffin, 28; Jason Spinks, 37; Shakie Davis; 25; and Treon Dennis, 36 are charged with conspiracy to make a false statement to a licensed firearms dealer and possession of firearms by felons.  The case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms […]

9-24-20 dodge county woman sentenced in drug overdose case

A Watertown woman is going to prison for providing drugs that led to the death of a teenage boy.  Debra Petroelji was sentenced in Dodge County Circuit Court to six years in prison and 14 years of extended supervision on a conviction of first degree reckless homicide.   She is accused of providing methadone and Percocet that contributed to the death of  a 16-year-old over four years ago.

9-24-20 local unemployment rate continues to fall

The local unemployment rate continues to drop.  The Department of Workforce Development says the August unemployment rate in Dodge County stands at 4.9 percent,  down from seven percent in July.   The Fond du Lac County jobless rate fell from six percent to 4.7 percent last month.  The city of Fond du Lac’s August unemployment rate is 5.3 percent,  down from 6.7 percent the month before.
