Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue has acquired new personal protective equipment when transporting patients during the coronavirus pandemic.   Assistant Chief of EMS Todd Janquardt says the department has purchased twelve 3M TR 300 Powered Air Purifying (PAR) respirators with CARES Act funding.  Janquardt says the device is a powered respirator. 10-21-20 man admits to disposing bodies of wi brothers

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) — A prosecutor says a Missouri man accused of killing two Wisconsin brothers told authorities he disposed of the bodies but denied killing the men. Garland Nelson’s attorneys argued that a murder suspect cannot also be charged with abandoning the victim's corpse without violating his right to remain silent against self-incrimination. 10-21-20 man charged in whitmer kidnapping plot released on bail

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A 51-year-old man charged in a plot to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been released from a Wisconsin jail after posting $10,000 cash bail.  Brian Higgins was released Monday night. Authorities allege Higgins, of Wisconsin Dells, was part of a crew conducting surveillance for the kidnapping plot. 10-21-20 two more fdl police officers placed on paid administrative leave

WFDL news has learned two  Fond du Lac police officers have  been placed on paid administrative leave, but the department is not releasing any additional information.   Police Chief Bill Lamb told WFDL news detective Steve Kaufman and officer Mark Medema were placed on paid administrative this month.   Lamb says Kaufman has since submitted his retirement papers.   Lamb says because it is a personnel matter he cannot comment further on the investigation.   Meanwhile  Fond du Lac […]
