10-7-20 man faces charges in fdl drug overdose death

A man has been arrested in connection with a drug overdose death in Fond du Lac.   Fond du Lac police arrested Robert Harris Monday afternoon.   He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail facing a charge of Second Degree Reckless Homicide.

Governor Tony Evers has announced a second round of grants to help small businesses and communities amid the coronavirus pandemic.   The governor says the $100 million in investments include over $50 million of $5,000 “We’re All In” grants to more than 10,000 small businesses.   Other investments target tourism, entertainment  and cultural venues.  The grants include $20 million for the lodging industry,  $15 million for live music and performance venues and $10 million each for […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Corrections is reporting another coronavirus outbreak in a state prison. Officials say Oshkosh Correctional Institution has more than 300 active cases among inmates. Oshkosh Correctional has a large number of elderly inmates and is the state’s most populous prison with nearly 2,000 prisoners. Wisconsin health officials have reported nearly 1,700 new COVID-19 cases across the state.  The state Department of Health Services reported 1,1696 newly confirmed cases on Monday, down from 1,865 on Sunday and a record 2,892 cases on Saturday.   The state has now seen  134,359 cases since the pandemic began.   The DHS reported four more people have died, bringing the death toll to 1,381.  About 1.6 million people havenow been tested for the […]
