A retired Ripon College economist says the latest jobs numbers show the economic recovery is slowing. The U.S. economy added 661,000 jobs in September, while the unemployment rate fell from 8.4 to 7.9-percent. Mayville police say the man who shot and injured three people outside an apartment complex last month before shooting himself has died from his injuries. Police say 72 year old Dennis Tollkuehn died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident happened September 16 outside the Spring Glen Apartments.
