MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin environmental officials want to dramatically increase regulatory costs for mining in the state. The Department of Natural Resources is developing new administrative rules that would increase regulatory fees and costs for nonferrous mining operations by nearly $502,000 per project. Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst isn’t discussing quarterback Graham Mertz’s status following reports that the redshirt freshman has tested positive for COVID-19. Chryst did say he was confident the ninth-ranked Badgers’ game Saturday at Nebraska would go on as scheduled. 10-27-20 lomira schools placed in lockdown following domestic incident in village

Lomira schools were placed in lockdown Monday as a precautionary safety measure as Lomira police responded  to an incident.  Police were called to a domestic incident Monday afternoon at a residence in the village and notified the school district to not let children leave the school building to walk home after school until the domestic  situation is resolved.
