10-26-20 state reports nearly 4,400 new coronavirus cases

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin health officials are reporting nearly 4,400 newly confirmed coronavirus cases. The state Department of Health Services reported 4,378 new cases on Friday. The daily record is 4,591, set on Tuesday. The state has now seen a total of 190,478 cases since the pandemic began in March. 10-26-20 drive-thru flu clinic in campbellsport saturday

Another drive-thru flu vaccine clinic was held in Fond du Lac County over the weekend for  Fond du Lac County students.  The clinic was  held  Saturday at the Campbellsport Highway Garage.  Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Department is not offering flu shots in school this year.  Instead, drive-thru clinics are being held throughout the county.  Any Fond du Lac County child 4-18 years […]

10-26-20 beaver dam man sentenced to prison for threatening police officer

A Beaver Dam man is going to prison for threatening a police officer.  Dodge County Circuit judge Brian Pfitzinger sentenced 23 year old Samuel Stephenson to three years four months in prison and five years extended supervision on charges of  Battery or Threat to an Officer and Felony Possession of THC.   According to a criminal complaint after an attempted burglary and footchase with police,  officers used a taser to take Stephenson into custody.  As […]

10-23-20 uw study: high school sports have not spread the coronavirus

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's medical school has found that the state's  high school sports has not contributed to an increase in COVID-19 infections among athletes. The study surveyed 207 schools representing 30,000 athletes that restarted sports in September. 10-23-20 coronavirus cases jump among wisconsin american indians

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Coronavirus cases among American Indians in Wisconsin have tripled since Sept. 1 as the state continues to grapple with the pandemic. Data showed 59 new cases and one additional death among American Indians in Wisconsin as of Wednesday. That raised the total to 2,333 Native Americans testing positive. 10-23-20 drive-thru covid testing at fdl county fairgrounds reaches capacity early

There were long lines at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Thursday for free drive-thru COVID-19 testing.  The testing site was scheduled to be open until 7pm but had reached it’s capacity by 2:30pm.   The testing site will be open Thursdays  through December 10.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the National Guard is conducting the tests.   People should remain in their vehicles throughout the process.  Masks are required and no appointment […]
