10-23-20 beaver dam woman sentenced to prison in fatal alcohol-related crash

A Beaver Dam woman is going to prison in connection with a fatal alcohol-related traffic crash.   Dodge County Circuit judge Brian Pfitzinger sentenced 24 year old Cindy Esparza to six years in prison for Homicide by Intoxicated use of a Vehicle.  Esparza will also serve 10 years on extended supervision.   Authorities say Esparza was drunk when she drove off a bridge in Beaver Dam into a river.  A passenger in the car died.  The […]

WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin man accused of killing a young man in a dispute over stolen reptiles has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Forty-four-year-old Bill Zelenski, of Waupaca, is accused of shooting the 18-year-old late Monday and the victim’s mother has been charged with being a party to the crime. 10-22-20 drive-thru covid testing at fdl county fairgrounds

Starting Thursday the Fond du Lac County Health Department is opening a free COVID-19 drive-thru community testing site at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the testing site will be open Thursdays from 11am to 7pm starting Thursday, through December 10.   Mueller says the National Guard will be conducting the tests.   People should remain in their vehicles throughout the process.  Masks are required and […]
