A Campbellsport woman was seriously injured when she fell off a trailer being towed by a UTV over the weekend. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the 32 year old woman struck her head on the roadway of Trail Vu Court and was flown by helicopter to Froedert Hospital where she was listed in stable condition. Investigators say the woman and the UTV operator, a 38 year old Campbellsport man, were part of a group that was travelling around the area of Trail Vu Court and Moraine Drive with the UTV and trailer for Halloween activities. The female was attempting to get back on the trailer when the UTV began to move resulting in her falling off and striking her head on the roadway. Alcohol was not a factor.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
