11-13-20 law enforcement say stabbing at devils lake state park was random attack

BARABOO, Wis. (AP) — Authorities investigating the stabbing death of a man at Devil’s Lake State Park say they believe the crime was a random act. Sauk County Det. Lt. 11-13-20 fdl arts center receives covid grant

The executive director of the Fond du Lac Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts says a new state grant will enable the organization to continue operations during the pandemic with winter right around the corner.  The Thelma has received a $137,000 COVID-19 Cultural Organization grant.  Thelma executive director Jacqui Corsi says the Thelma has experienced an 80 percent loss in revenue during the pandemic.  She says the grant will be used to help […]

11-13-20 outside groups spent nearly $10 million on wi legislative races

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new report says outside groups spent nearly $10 million trying to influence Wisconsin legislative races. Government watchdog group Wisconsin Democracy Campaign released a study Thursday that shows groups backing Democratic candidates spent $5.5 million and groups supporting Republicans spent almost $4.4 million. 11-13-20 police stumped by theft of rare tree in wi capital

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Police are stumped by the theft of a rare pine tree from the University of Wisconsin Arboretum. UW-Madison police said Thursday that the 25-foot Algonquin Pillar Swiss Mountain pine was sawed down sometime between Nov. 5 and Nov. 9.
