MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Enrollment at University of Wisconsin campuses across the state has dropped nearly 2% overall and even more for first-year students amid the coronavirus pandemic that forced most classes online. The UW System reported Thursday that only three of UW’s 13 campuses saw enrollment increases, while 11 saw drops. 11-6-20 lost hikers is a reminder how easy it is to become disorientented even on state trails

11-5-20 fire burns field in southeast fdl county

A fire that burned several acres in a wooded area in southeast Fond du Lac County is under investigation.  The fire was reported shortly after 7pm Wednesday near County Highway W north of Sunset Lane,  in the town of Ashford.    A witness reported seeing a vehicle stopped on the shoulder prior to the fire starting.  The fire burned approximately 30 to 40 acres.  Nobody was injured.   Upon arrival of first responders, the fire had […]
