12-11-20 fdl police investigating reports of shots fired near downtown

A portion of East Fifth Street in Fond du Lac was closed to traffic Friday after police received reports of possible gunshots fired.  Shortly after 11am police were called to the scene after a resident reported hearing what they thought were three gunshots.   Police blocked off a portion of Fifth Street while officers canvassed the area, going to door to door looking for evidence.   There were no reports of any injuries.  Officers recovered some shell casing […]

12-11-20 fdl man sentenced to prison in shooting incident

A Fond  du lac man convicted in connection with a shooting incident on Bank Street earlier this year is going to prison..  Fond du Lac judge Richard Nuss sentenced 28 year old Vincent Riddle to three years in prison and four years extended supervision.  Riddle earlier pleaded no contest to first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and bail jumping.  Four other counts were dismissed and read into the record.  Assistant […]
