12-21-20 drive sober or get pulled over

12-21-20 republicans block tougher enforcement of pfas chemicals

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican lawmakers have blocked the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources from enforcing some new regulations designed to keep some PFAS chemicals out of the environment. 12-21-20 more covid deaths in fdl county

A week before Christmas and Fond du Lac County has it’s highest one day total for the number of deaths due to COVID-19.   The Fond du Lac County Health Department reported six COVID deaths Friday,   bringing to 64 the total number of deaths in the county.  There are 9,841 cases after 71 new cases were confirmed Friday.

12-21-20 wi dentist accused of breaking teeth in fraud scheme

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Wisconsin dentist is accused of damaging his patients’ teeth so that he could bill insurance companies for crown procedures. A federal indictment charges 60-year-old Scott Charmoli, of Grafton, of multiple counts of health care fraud and false statements. 12-19-20 covid-19 economic stimulus package

Congressional leaders appear to be on the brink of a COVID-19 economic aid package.  Retired Ripon College economist Paul Schoofs says the $900 billion package would revive subsidies for businesses hit hard by the pandemic, and renew soon to expire jobless benefits.  Schoofs says  the biggest surprise is including new direct payments to most Americans. 12-19-20 uw oshkosh commencement ceremony

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will recognize and applaud the achievements of more than 1,000 students at the University’s 56th midyear commencement Saturday, Dec. 19.  The ceremony will stream online beginning at 9:30 a.m. and is produced by Titan TV and the radio TV film department. It will feature remarks from UWO Chancellor Andrew Leavitt, Provost John Koker and two guest speakers.
