1-12-21 construction worker survives electrocution in fdl

todayJanuary 12, 2021

The Fond du Lac Fire Chief says a construction worker is fortunate to escape with only minor injuries after he was electrocuted when a pole he was holding came in contact with an electrical line.   The incident happened Monday morning at a residence on Forest Circle.  “He was putting up siding on a house that was being renovated.  There was a pole that came in contact with a primary (electrical) wire.  He got a pretty good jolt that knocked him down,”  O’Leary told WFDL news.  The man was treated at the scene.  Meanwhile, O’Leary says an electrical problem is apparently to blame for a fire that damaged a duplex on Sixth Street near Park Avenue.  The fire caused moderate damage.
