Red Cross blood donors could win a trip to next year’s Super Bowl by helping tackle a COVID-19 plasma shortage. American Red Cross Wisconsin chapter spokeswoman Laura McGuire says as rising COVID cases across the country has led to a shortage of convalescent plasma. Blood or platelet donors in January are automatically entered to win two tickets to next year’s Super Bowl in Los Angelas, and a large screen television and $500 gift card. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
