The Waupun Fire Chief says he’s ready to get his COVID-19 vaccine. Police and firefighters are next in line to receive the vaccine, starting next week. Waupun Fire Chief B.J DeMaa says it’s exciting that the vaccine is available. “Yes, we’ll be in line for that shot,” DeMaa told WFDL news. “It’s an exciting day for police and firefighting agencies across the state.”

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
