1-15-21 fdl council president declines to read pro-life proclamation, citing

The Fond du Lac city council president says he declined to read a proclamation recognizing January as Pro-Life month in Fond du Lac at this week’s city council meeting because of the political tone of  the proclamation.  The proclamation was brought forward by councilmember Dan Degner.   But council president Brian Kolstad says he would support a pro-life proclamation.  Kolstad says he was concerned about the way this proclamation was worded and felt it was more of a political statement.   Kolstad also says the proclamation did not have any reference to the many groups who identify as pro-life in the Fond  du Lac community.
