The number of residents getting tested at a Drive-thru site at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds remains down significantly from last fall when COVID-19 cases were spiking in the county. “Pretty consistent of what we’ve been noticing for traffic flow for probably the last month,” Public Health Officer Kim Mueller, told WFDL news. Mueller says 222 people were tested at the site last Thursday. The testing site is open Thursdays from 10am to 6pm through the first week in March.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
