(AP) — A candidate for Wisconsin state superintendent whose candidacy was challenged because she used the title “Dr.” in front of her name on nomination papers will remain on the ballot. 1-12-21 covid-19 prison deaths

The state Department of Corrections says eight inmates at the Waupun and Oshkosh prisons are among the 25 Wisconsin state prison inmates who've died from COVID-19, four at each institution.  Two inmates have died at Dodge Correctional, two at Fox Lake and one at the Taycheeda Women’s Prison.  At least one inmate has died at 12 of the 37 correctional facilities across the state since the beginning of the pandemic.

1-12-21 fazoli’s restaurant in fdl closes permanently

Fazoli’s Italian restaurant in Fond du Lac has closed.  The company’s Facebook page says the restaurant has closed permanently and a sign on the restaurant door says  “We would like to thank our guests and the community for your business.”   Fazoli’s was located on the Frontage Road off  Interstate 41.
