(AP) — The University of Wisconsin Hospital performed a record 548 organ transplants last year, even though the COVID-19 pandemic forced a temporary closure of part of its transplant program. Mercury Marine is installing solar panels at it’s world headquarters campus in Fond du Lac. 1-11-21 two state prisoners dead from coronavirus

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin corrections officials say two additional inmates have died from coronavirus in the state’s prison system, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 25. 1-11-21 drive sober get pulled over results

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies made 11 OWI arrests during the recent Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. In addition to arrests for drunken driving there werer 67 citations issued for speeding violations, and six felony drug related arrests including possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin has broken 500,000 positive cases of the coronavirus, two days after the state eclipse 5,000 dead. As of Friday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports that 502,012 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 5,119 have died. 1-9-21 fdl psychiatrist, nurse indicted for illegally distributing controlled substances

A psychiatrist and licensed nurse from Fond du Lac face up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine if convicted of  illegally distributing controlled substances.  The U.S. Attorney's Eastern District of Wisconsin office says a federal grand jury issued the indictment against 74 year old psychiatrist John Whelan,  and 58 year old nurse Tina Montezon.  According to the indictment, the pair prescribed controlled substances outside their professional practice from a home […]
