Fond du Lac police are investigating a fatal crash. The crash happened Tuesday afternoon on Military Road near the Ole Bread Box when a car left the road striking a pole and fire hydrant. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says when paramedics first arrived on the scene the driver was conscious and walking around. O’Leary says the man started having a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. A 33 year old Fond du Lac man was transported to the hospital where he later died. Police are investigating if he may have suffered a medical condition prior to the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
