2-4-21 vaccination clinic for fdl county seniors

todayFebruary 4, 2021

A second mass vaccination clinic was held Wednesday at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds as the county continues to target the senior population.  More than 1100 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered at the Fairgrounds Expo building for residents age 65 and older.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says there are approximately 19,000 Fond du Lac County residents who fall in that category.   Mueller says the clinic is just one avenue for seniors to receive the vaccine. Mueller says people can also get the vaccine through their healthcare provider.  Mueller says she hopes to have the 65 and older group vaccinated by the end of the month, and hopefully will be able to start vaccinating the group that includes teachers starting in March.  Meanwhile, Mueller says the county has completed  vaccinating the phase 1a group.  Starting February 3, Agnesian HealthCare will open its vaccination clinics for patients ages 65 and older. This approach is allowing Agnesian HealthCare to begin vaccinating eligible patients as quickly, efficiently and equitably as possible.   Patients who are age 65 and older can call (920) 926-8400. The hotline is available daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
