One person was killed and one person received life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Dodge County. The crash happened Monday on state Highway 33 near County Highway A in the town of Fox Lake. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a truck-tractor trailer jackknifed, traveling over the centerline of Highway 33 and was struck by a Mack truck. The 60 year old driver of the Mack truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The 73 year old driver of the Peterbilt suffered life threatening injuries and was flown helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The crash remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
