Two people were seriously injured in a two vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened Wednesday morning on County Highway M north of Triangle Road in the town of Rosendale. A preliminary investigation shows a car was northbound on M, crossed the centerline and struck a southbound minivan. The car driver, a 28-year-old Waupun man and a nine year old male passenger in the minivan were flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. The driver of the minivan, a 45- year -old female from Pickett, and a second passenger, an 11 year old boy, were not injured. The car driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
