2-22-21 state building commission approves projects

Gov. Tony Evers recently announced the State of Wisconsin Building Commission approved a  total of approximately $69 million in projects across the state.  The approved list of projects includes land purchase and site development for the new Milwaukee State Office Building and construction of lab and classroom renovation projects for UW-Oshkosh.

2-22-21 fdl school district 4k registration

The Fond du Lac School District will again be offering a half-day, 4 year-old-kindergarten  experience next fall. Children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1 are eligible to attend. 2-19-21 low voter turnout in fdl county primary election

Voter turnout in this week’s primary election was lower than expected in the city of Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County.   County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says the turnout was about 19 percent in the city of Fond du Lac and 14 percent countywide.  Freiberg says some people decided not to vote their mail-in absentee ballot.   She says the post office was diligent in getting last minute ballots to […]

Tony Evers has signed into law a bill that cuts taxes by nearly half a billion dollars for Wisconsin businesses that accepted loans to help them through the coronavirus pandemic. 2-19-21 vel phillips statue effort gets big boost

(AP) — New donations to an effort to place a statue honoring Wisconsin civil rights leader Vel Phillips on the grounds of the state Capitol have pushed the effort beyond halfway to its fundraising goal.
