2-17-21 fdl county man saved by heimlich maneuver after choking on steak at area supper club

A Fond  du Lac County man is alive after choking on a piece of steak at an area restaurant thanks to a team of people who performed the Heimlich maneuver.  Gerry and Bernice Schmitz were dining at Blanck’s Supper Club in Malone last month when a piece of steak got stuck in Gerry’s throat.  The restaurant owner, and others performed the Heimlich maneuver without success.   Several minutes later a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy arrived, […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Assembly is signing off on a half-billion dollar tax cut for businesses that received loans to help them keep employees on the payroll during the pandemic. 2-17-21 fdl lakeside park management team schedules public information meetings

Two public information meetings have been scheduled regarding the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Management Team recommendations for development at Lakeside Park.   The team developed the recommendations for a restaurant, skating rink, and other amenities following a consultant’s report and recommendations last fall. The meetings will be held starting at 8:30am Thursday February 25 and  4pm Tuesday March 2 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.
