3-8-21 deteriorating ice conditions

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is warning ice anglers about deteriorating ice conditions on Lake Winnebago and other area bodies of water.  Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says most ice shanties have been pulled off area lakes.  He says people venturing out on the ice are urged to use caution.

One person was seriously injured in a one vehicle rollover crash in North Fond du Lac.  The crash happened early Friday morning on North Pioneer Road  between West Scott Street and Mockingbird Lane.  The driver was flown by helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries.

Department of Administration (DOA) Secretary Joel Brennan  announced 141 Wisconsin school districts and libraries will receive nearly $3 million in 2021 Technology for Educational ACHievement (TEACH) Information Technology Infrastructure grants. Lomira is getting a $22,000 grant, Waupun receives more than $36,000, and  Ripon is receiving12,000.
