4-29-21 fdl county health department has 100 doses of j and j shot

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says she is not surprised the CDC has allowed use of the Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine to resume.  The vaccine had been paused pending an investigation into a handful of cases of rare severe blood clots involving women.  Fond  du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says her office has about 100 doses of the vaccine, which has a longer shelf life than either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.  Mueller says the public may be surprised to know that other medications they may be taking also have the potential for serious side effects, but their doctor recommends they still take the medication because the benefits outweigh the potential risk.
