4-30-21 former fdl councilmember thiesfeldt says city council election was referendum on lakeside park

A former Fond du Lac city councilmember  turned state representative says the recent spring election turned out to be a referendum on Lakeside Park.   Three  challengers who made their opposition to  building a restaurant at the park their  top issue were elected, and an incumbent who supported the development plan was defeated. Republican state representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says whether it was intended to be or not, the election turned out to be a referendum on Lakeside Park.  Thiesfeldt says the election outcome reiterates to anybody who is on city council, that when it comes the park come to the forefront  “You better pay close attention because there are a lot of people that are watching.”
