4-22-21 fdl woman charged in drug overdose death of man

A Fond du Lac woman has been charged in connection with the drug overdose death of a Fond du Lac man.  Thirty four year old Amber Schuster is charged with one count of party to the crime of first degree reckless homicide.   She is accused of providing fentanyl that led to the death of a man at a Cottage Avenue residence in Fond du Lac.

4-21-21 state patrol responds to multiple crashes on i-41 in washington and dodge counties

A brief burst of heavy snowfall blanketed parts of southeast Wisconsin on Wednesday,  causing slick roads and near white out conditions in some areas.   The Wisconsin State Patrol said there were multiple crashes along I-41 in Washington and Dodge Counties Wednesday afternoon.  Moderate to heavy snow squalls, mixed with graupel (snow pellets) are expected to continue to impact southeast Wisconsin into the early evening.

4-21-21 new fdl city council president

There is a changing of the guard on the Fond du Lac city council.  At Tuesday night’s organizational meeting Kay Miller was elected council president and newcomer Patrick Mullen was elected council vice president.   Mullen, Tiffany Brault and Keith Heisler were sworn into office.  They swept to victory in the spring election running on a platform opposed to an alternate Lakeside Park master plan that includes building a restaurant at the park.

The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says as the economy gains strength across the state and country there are signs of a rebound in Fond du Lac County.  Sadie Parafiniuk says local businesses have noted an uptick in consumer spending.  Parafiniuk says as more people get vaccinated they are feeling more comfortable eating out at restaurants and shopping.

4-21-21 report cites ‘vast improvement’ at wisconsin juvenile prisons
