4-20-21 property taxes would increase slightly under evers’ plan

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau says taxes on the typical Wisconsin home over the next two years would not increase quite as much under Gov. Tony Evers’ budget proposal as they would under current law. 4-20-21 rosendale-brandon school board recall effort

4-19-21 three dead, two wounded in kenosha tavern shooting

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say three people were killed and two were seriously wounded in a shooting at a tavern in southeastern Wisconsin. Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth says the suspect is still at large but he doesn't believe the public is in danger because the shooter appeared to have targeted specific victims in the bar. 4-19-21 dodge county sheriff’s office investigating apparent murder-suicide in watertown

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Watertown.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says evidence at the scene indicates a 52 year old man and 16 year old boy likely died  as a result of a murder-suicide by the 52 year old.  The incident happened early Saturday morning.  The Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Scene Unit and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted investigators at this scene.   Schmidt says  […]

4-19-21 one person injured in jeep vs. straight truck crash in dodge county

An elderly Beaver Dam woman was injured in a two vehicle crash Saturday in Dodge County.  A preliminary investigation shows a Jeep SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a straight truck at the intersection of County Highways A and C  in the town of Fox Lake.  The 77 year old driver of the Jeep was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison.

A Fond du Lac man has been convicted of reckless injury and recklessly endangering safety but not guilty of attempted homicide in connection with a drug-related  shooting incident  that  injured two people one critically.   Following a five day jury trial this week a Fond du Lac jury found Delaney Watt guilty of all but three charges.  The shooting happened September 12,   2018 outside the Eldorado Apartments on Forest Avenue.   The shooting injured a […]
