4-19-21 wisconsin man gets 40 years in prison for killing outside fox valley bar

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin man who killed a bar patron after robbing the place has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. 4-19-21 new uwo-fdl campus administrator named

The UWO-Fond du Lac  campus has a new administrator.  Renee Anderson has been selected for the post.  She has served as interim administrator since last May, overseeing all daily operations and university-wide initiatives.  Anderson is the former regional executive assistant for the northeastern region of the UW Colleges and the UW Oshkosh access campuses.  She was the dean’s executive assistant at UW-Fond du Lac from 2010 to 2015.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A lawsuit by a Madison couple and others alleges that a college grant program for minorities violates the Wisconsin Constitution. The complaint says grants offered by the state’s Higher Educational Aids Board are available to some minorities but not to others. 4-17-21 fdl garage fire

Nobody was injured a fire that damaged a garage and destroyed a shed in Fond du Lac.  At approximately 9am Friday firefighters were called  to 114 E. 9th St. for a reported detached garage fire.   Upon arrival crews found the rear of the detached garage fully involved in fire.   A small plastic shed behind the garage completely melted to the ground and the fire spread to the nearby detached garage structure.

4-16-21 lomira woman convicted in death of toddler son
