4-7-21 waupun school board recount

There will be a recount in a race for Waupun School Board.  Jodi Schultz defeated Jessica Standke by just one vote in Tuesday’s election 807 votes to 806 votes.  Standke has indicated she will seek a recount.  The recount is expected to take place next week.

4-7-21 school bus crash-dodge county

No  students were injured in a crash involving a school bus in Dodge County.   Shortly after 4pm Tuesday the bus collided with a dump truck at the intersection of State Highway 60 and County Highway M.  A FedX van was also struck causing minor damage.  The school bus driver was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  Five students on the bus and the FedX driver and passenger were not injured.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Jill Underly rode support from the state teachers’ union and an overwhelming financial advantage to win election as Wisconsin superintendent of schools. 4-7-21 fdl county executive allen buechel wins in landslide

Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel has easily been re-elected to another term.  Buechel  won in a landslide with 11,791 votes, nearly seven thousand more than his challenger.   Buechel was first elected to the Fond du Lac County Board in 1976 and was first elected county executive in 1993 and re-elected every term since.

4-7-21 rohn bishop elected to waupun common council

A former Waupun alderman has been elected to the common council.  Rohn Bishop defeated  Zach Dickhut in the race for the open Fifth aldermanic seat in Tuesday’s election 270 to 224 votes.  Bishop says he is  "honored and humbled."  Bishop last served on the council in the early 2000s and is currently the chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du lac County.
