5-6-21 boat launch parking lot area gaining steam for restaurant location

Fond du Lac city councilmembers are encouraging the public to contact them with their opinions on three alternative locations for a proposed restaurant at Lakeside Park.   A couple days after meeting in a workshop session, council president Kay Miller so far public opinion is clearly in favor of building a restaurant  in the parking lot just south of the Yacht Club.   Miller says the idea is “very ingenious and creative”  and thinks the majority of council feels the same way.  “…thinking outside the box and maybe it could actually work,”  Miller told WFDL news.   Miller says the Yacht Club parking lot location may also assuage concerns of people who would be opposed to developing in the heart of the park on Oven Island or at the north end of Main Street.
