A Fond du Lac man convicted in a gun crime is going to prison. Fond du Lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced Marques Foster to three years in prison and five years extended supervision after Foster was convicted of felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. Foster was arrested following a traffic stop in the city of Fond du Lac in November, 2018.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
