5-10-21 fdl hickory street closure

The Department of Public Works is informing motorists that Hickory Street between Portage Street and Division Street is closed this weekend. The closure began Wednesday, May 5 and will remain closed until Monday, May 10.   The closure will be in place to allow the water utility to replace and restore a water services near the intersection of Hickory Street and Russell Street.

5-10-21 marian university commencement ceremony

Marian University held its spring commencement over the weekend  The celebration was held Saturday at Herr-Baker Field Baseball Stadium on the Marian University campus.   In total, 190 students  participated in the ceremony, including 165 undergraduate, 20 master’s and five doctoral candidates.

5-10-21 governor evers announces fab lab grants

Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation  have announced that 28 school districts throughout the state have been awarded a total of more than $635,000 in grants to establish or expand local fabrication laboratory (fab lab) facilities.   The Dodgeland School District received $25,000.  The Kiel  Area School District receives a grant for $17,244.   The fab lab is a high-technology workshop equipped with computer-controlled manufacturing components such as 3D […]

5-10-21 fdl fire and rescue holds brat fry fundraiser for red cross

The Fond du Lac Fire Department and Fond du Lac residents are paying back the Red Cross for their assistance helping fire victims.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue held a brat fry fundraiser Friday for the local Red Cross chapter.   Fire chief Pete O’Leary says every year Red Cross volunteers help people who have been displaced by fire.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Justice has identified the three Green Bay Police officers who opened fire on a man who shot three people at a tribal casino complex. The department issued a news release Friday saying Sgt.
