MENASHA, Wis. (AP) — A shuttered paper mill with a history dating back to 1882 has been decimated by fire in Menasha. Firefighters remained on the scene of the fire at the Whiting Mill Monday morning. Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue posted on Facebook that the massive fire that started Sunday was under control. LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a 90-year-old man was killed and his 45-year-old passenger was injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Bangor Township. The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office says Dennis Wood was trying to make a turn at an intersection Saturday morning when he lost control of the vehicle and was ejected. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal UTV crash in Dodge County.   The Sheriff’s Office says 60 year old Otto Abolins of rural Ashippun died when the UTV he was operating  rolled over in a ditch.   The crash happened Saturday night on Monroe Road near La Follette Road,  northeast of Watertown.  He was not wearing a seatbelt, or helmet, and alcohol use was believed to be a factor […]

Fond du Lac’s Agnesian HealthCare is expanding it’s suicide screening age groups to include children as young as eight years old.   Beginning this week Agnesian will begin screening patients eights years old and above during hospital visits, using what’s called the Columbia Severity Rating Scale Tool.  Agnesian HealthCare Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health, Tiffany Parker, says patients who screen positive will be further assessed to determine follow-up resources needed.  A 2020 Fond […]
