WASHINGTON (AP) — Scientists found that an unconventional way of reducing the frequency of deer-auto collisions could be allowing wolves to roam a landscape. Because wolves prey on deer and also shift deer behavior, they make crashes about 24% less common. The Fond du Lac School District is recommending that Kate O’Hara Pogorelec  be hired as the Sabish Middle School principal starting next school  year.  O’Hara Pogorelec has been serving as the Interim Principal for the school since July of 2020 when  Stacey Buchholz  was hired as Interim Director of Human Resources.   Prior to that, O’Hara Pogorelec served as the Assistant Principal at Sabish Middle School since 2019.   The school board is expected to approve the hiring […]

5-25-21 covid-19 positive cases remain low in fdl county

Fond du Lac County continues to trend in the right direction when it comes to new positive COVID-19 cases and deaths.  After 13 new positive cases were reported over the weekend there were only four new COVID-19 cases reported on Monday. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says it’s reminiscent of  the beginning of the pandemic.  There have been 111 COVID-19 deaths reported in Fond du Lac County since the beginning of the pandemic.  […]

5-25-21 campbellsport man arrested for owi with child in car

A Campbellsport man has been arrested for OWI with a child passenger.  The Wisconsin State Patrol says 28 year old Adam Konstanski was arrested last week for OWI first offense with one child in the vehicle under the age  of 16.  A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on highway 67 near Campbellsport and detected indicators of impairment. Following Standardized  Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was arrested for OWI 1st offense with a […]
