6-8-21 beaver dam contractor spends $30,000 of client’s money on google purchases

A Beaver Dam man convicted of Theft by Contractor has been ordered to pay more than $70,000 in restitution.  Dodge County Circuit judge Joseph Sciascia also placed 40 year old Norbert Ortiz on probation for five years.   According to a criminal complaint Ortiz failed to complete a $110,000 home remodeling project, and spent over $61,000 paid by the resident on purchases from Google, restaurants, groceries, casinos, cell phone service, and paid himself $38,000 for the work he did.
