Walleye Weekend Festival goers can get the COVID-19 vaccine this weekend. The Fond du Lac County Health Department and Agnesian HealthCare-SSM Health are offering a Walleye Weekend walk-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines will be available on Saturday. The clinic will be offered to anyone 12 years of age and over who has not received the vaccine yet. No insurance or ID will be required and the vaccine will be available from 10am to 4pm or while supplies last.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
