6-18-21 fdl summer school program underway

The Fond du Lac School District Summer School program is underway starting this week.  Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says more than 11 hundred students and 135 teachers are participating in the program that runs through July 2.   Some students  are catching up after almost a year of online learning during the pandemic.

6-17-21 fire damages downtown fdl business

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a downtown Fond du Lac business.  Shortly before 8am Thursday Fond  du Lac firefighters were called to The Smoke Shop on South Main Street for a report of a fire.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says the fire was quickly extinguished.  That portion of South Main Street was blocked to traffic. https://twitter.com/i/status/1405507655465119749

6-17-21 lake mills woman killed in dodge county traffic crash

6-17-21 wisconsin assembly forbids vaccination proof

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Assembly has passed a Republican-backed bill that would prohibit businesses, colleges and universities, governments and anyone else in the state from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Republican-controlled Wisconsin Assembly has passed bills banning transgender athletes from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. The measures were taken up Wednesday in the middle of Pride month and were all-but certain to be vetoed by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A divided state Supreme Court has ordered a new trial for a man convicted of killing his brother-in-law after he allegedly discovered child pornography on his computer.
